Kenneth E. Belkin

Ken Belkin is as passionate an advocate as a client could ever want. His results speak for themselves. Ken’s clients have referred to him as a “miracle worker” and a “magician” for obtaining favorable dispositions on extremely difficult cases. Ken won’t stop fighting until he gets the best possible result for his clients.

Ken primarily focuses on Criminal Defense (theft, gun crimes, DUI/DWI, drug crimes), Matrimonial (divorce), Restaurant and Bar representation (Liquor Licensing and Corporate/Partner Structure), and Civil Rights litigation (false arrest, malicious prosecution, police brutality).

He has worked for and continues to serve as Of Counsel to some of the most prominent Criminal Defense and Civil Rights Attorneys in the New York City metropolitan area.

Education 

Ken holds a Bachelor’s in Political Science from Hunter College (CUNY) and a Juris Doctor from New York Law School.

He is admitted to practice in all State Courts in the State of New York, as well as the Federal Courts in the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York.

Experience

Ken frequently appears on television to give his expert legal opinion and has appeared on the Fox News Channel, ABC News, CBS News, CNN, and New York 1, among others.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Ken worked in NYC restaurants and played in various punk rock bands that toured the United States, frequently opening for much more successful bands like AFI, the Ataris, and Taking Back Sunday. Now he wears three-piece suits and spends most of his mornings in Court.

Ken is a daily practitioner of hot yoga. He feels it calms his mind while keeping his body fit so he can fight for his clients.

In 2016, Ken Belkin ran for the Democratic nomination for NYS Assembly District No. 53 in Brooklyn, NY.

Since 2018, Ken was recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Star for his excellency in the area of Criminal Defense.

Ken spends his free time with his three lovely children and wife, enjoying all that NYC has to offer a growing family!
